Business Development Manager


Space Coast Intelligent Solutions (SCIS) provides innovative software and system solutions to accelerate the integration of multi-domain sensors connecting Warfighters to actionable information at the tactical edge.

Job Summary

The Business Development Manager will manage and evaluate new initiatives and business opportunities for SCIS under the direction of the Senior Business Development Leader, or Senior Leadership.




    Job Responsibilities:

    • Primary area of responsibility will be customer engagements and business growth with DoD customers such as Special Operations
    • Engage and grow new DoD customers primarily within the Central Florida area
    • Must communicate effectively to DoD operators and senior leaders
    • Identifies and explores customer requirements and serves as an expert conduit back to SCIS
    • Conducts analysis of the market and the competitive landscape
    • Performs DoD & program office budget analysis to support capture efforts
    • Contributes to planning, designing, and implementing of business plans
    • Participate/coordinate in strategic alliances and other external business relationships
    • Support, communicate, reinforce, and defend the mission, values, and culture of SCIS
    • Have general understanding SOCOM and other government agencies requirements generation process
    • Make presentations on SCIS portfolio of products and services
    • Attend trade shows
    • 30%-50% travel (mostly by vehicle to customer sites within the Central Florida area)
    • Hybrid work schedule with 1-2 days a week at SCIS offices in Melbourne, Florida remaining days telecommuting or at customer facilities


    • Bachelor's Degree is preferred but not required
    • Ability to translate mission requirements to system/product requirements
    • 5 years in Business Development Operations preferred but not required
    • Prior military experience preferred but not required, prior experience working with SOCOM preferred
    • Understanding of the Command, Control, Communications, Computers, Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance (C4ISR) space
    • Strong interpersonal, written, verbal, and presentation skills
    • Knowledge of markets, and technology where SCIS products and services compete
    • U.S. Citizen with the ability to obtain and keep security clearance
