Software Engineer IV

Overview

SCIS is seeking a “Full Stack” or “Backend” web developer with expertise in CI/CD pipeline development, DevOps/DevSecOps, cybersecurity, virtualization, containerization, and modern web system infrastructures. The preferred candidate will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and engineering development and production environments required to host a Web based software solution. The candidate will be expected to perform various duties related to system infrastructure and administration such as setting up Virtual Machines, User accounts/privileges, and developing and maintaining these environments. These responsibilities also include the creation of environment installation procedures, developing the CI/CD pipeline, supporting builds and ensuring software is delivered/deployed (integrated) correctly, as well as developing hardware and software solutions/specifications to meet the objectives of the mission.

Job Requirements

• Must be able to obtain a Security+ Certification within six months of start date
• GitLab, Git
• Atlassian suite (Jira, Confluence)
• Oracle
• Familiarity with Kubernetes, Containerization (Docker), Virtualization, DevOps/CI/CD
• Linux, Windows (basic system administration)
• CI/CD Platform stack implementation (Continuous Monitoring, Persistent storage, Security, etc.)

 Education and Experience

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related degree with two years of relevant experience; an additional 4 years of related experience may be considered in lieu of degree

Security clearance

• TS/SCI or TS with ability to obtain SCI

• This position requires work on site in Melbourne, Florida
