SCIS Awarded Small Business Innovation and Research Contract

MELBOURNE, Fla.--

Space Coast Intelligent Solutions, Inc. was awarded a Small Business Innovation and Research contract with the U.S. Army’s Air Warrior program to improve communication and data transmission in Chinook helicopter’s Aircraft Wireless Intercom System.

The high electro-magnetic interference environments of Chinooks present challenging problems. SCIS will identify and demonstrate a radio waveform capable of voice and data transmission at a range of outside the tips of the helicopter rotor blades. The Next Generation Encrypted Wireless Intercom Waveform effort is spearheaded by SCIS research scientist Jeffrey White and chief systems engineer Larry Vavroch.
