SCIS Supports Wreathes Across America Day

This past Saturday, December 19th, was National Wreathes Across America Day. Wreathes Across America (WAA) is a non-profit whose mission is to Remember our fallen U.S. Veterans, Honor those who serve, and Teach our children the value of freedom. National Wreaths Across America Day is carried out by WWA who coordinates wreath-laying ceremonies at Arlington National Cemetery, as well as at more than 2,100 additional locations in all 50 U.S. states, at sea and abroad.

This year SCIS continued our financial and personal support to WAA by assisting the Abigail Wright Chamberlin Chapter of the National Society of the Daughters of the American Revolution lay wreathes at the Eau Gallie Cemetery. The cemetery has 143 Veteran gravesites some with service going as far back as the Spanish American War and many Veterans who served in two or three wars.

As the busy Holiday Season is in full swing, I ask you please take a minute of your time to remember all of our Veterans, past and present, as well as their families.
